I'm Esmeralda — a photographer, videographer, VFX artist, drone pilot, and creative storyteller based in Belgium.

How it started

Like many creative journeys, mine began with curiosity.

I spent countless hours experimenting with cameras, editing software, photography, video production, and digital effects. What started as simple exploration quickly became a passion. I was fascinated by how a single image or video could capture emotion, communicate ideas, and tell stories that people remember.

The more I learned, the more I realized that creativity has no limits. Every new skill opened another door, and every project pushed me to see the world differently.

Where I am today

Today, I work with international organizations, European institutions, conference organizers, agencies, and brands across Belgium and Europe.

My portfolio includes photography and videography for the European Commission, POLITICO summits, the European Innovation Council, Insurance Europe, Erasmus+, Hydrogen Europe, multinational corporations, executive leadership events, international conferences, and high-level networking events.

From large-scale conferences in Brussels to exclusive corporate events across Europe, I help organizations capture moments that matter and transform them into powerful visual stories.

My work combines photography, videography, drone cinematography, VFX, and AI-powered creative production. I love blending real-world footage with digital innovation to create content that feels both authentic and visually distinctive.

Building the future with AI

Recently, I founded KANJIRU.AI, an AI-powered creative agency focused on next-generation visual content.

KANJIRU.AI brings together filmmaking, photography, visual effects, automation, and artificial intelligence to help businesses and organizations communicate in new and engaging ways. For me, AI isn't replacing creativity — it's expanding what's creatively possible.

Why VFX feels like home

Visual effects allow me to combine technical precision with imagination.

Whether I'm creating subtle enhancements or building entirely new visual worlds, VFX gives me the freedom to explore ideas beyond the limits of traditional production. Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, AI tools, and creative coding have become essential parts of my daily workflow.

I enjoy constantly learning and experimenting because every new technology creates new storytelling opportunities.

Beyond the screen

Creativity isn't only digital for me.

I also have a passion for VFX make-up and practical effects. There's something special about creating transformations by hand and seeing imagination come to life in the physical world. It reminds me that storytelling exists everywhere — through photography, film, practical effects, technology, and human connection.
